Cancellations & Refunds

 

Mylestones is an online eCommerce platform that puts the Book Creator and Co-Creators in the driver’s seat in terms of designing and ordering a book.  Our Cancellation & Refund Policy is designed to give the Creator and Co-Creators total freedom to work on a file until it is complete without cost.  Once an Order is placed, however, the Cancellation & Refund policy varies depending on the type of book ordered.

 

Print Books

If a Print Book is being designed, the Creator and/or a Co-Creator may cancel a book at any time until the book is “Ordered.”  Once the book is fully designed and payment information for the cost of the book is entered, and an Order is placed, then Creator and/or Co-Creator(s) will be asked to re-confirm that they wish to place the Order.  Once an Order for a Print Book is reconfirmed, then the Print Book may no longer be cancelled or changed.  At that point, the digital file is processed and added to the printing platform for publishing.  Changes and cancellations are no longer possible after this point.  The book will be printed and shipped as is.

 

Virtual Books

If a Virtual Book is being designed, the Creator and/or a Co-Creator may cancel a book at any time until the book is “Ordered.”  Once the book is fully designed and payment information for the cost of the book is entered, and an Order is placed, then Creator and/or Co-Creator(s) will be asked to re-confirm that they wish to place the Order.  Once an Order for a Virtual Book is reconfirmed, then it can only be restored to design if it has not yet been published on the Virtual Private Library and no one has accessed or viewed the book.  To return a Virtual Book to design mode, the customer may request that via email.  Please include your Book number.  A payment refund can then be issued to the credit card(s) that were entered for payment.

 

Video Books

If a Video Book is being edited/created, the Creator and/or a Co-Creator may place the Order once the full video is complete and payment information for the cost of the book is entered.  At this point, the Creator and/or Co-Creator(s) will be asked to reconfirm that they wish to place the Order.  Once an Order for a Video Book is placed, and the Order is reconfirmed, the book may no longer be cancelled or changed.  At that point, the digital file is processed and added to the platform for compression and upload to the book’s memory card.  Therefore, changes and cancellations are no longer possible at this point.  The book will be completed and shipped as is.
